Rock River Consulting · A Project Center 2.0 module

From initial site intake to the final printed label.

The Arc Flash Site Survey module bridges the gap between electrical contractors and the facility. Manage the CRM intake, capture switchgear data and thermal photos in the field, generate the proposal, and print dual-QR NFPA 70E labels—all from one continuous system.

Module Features

Everything an electrical contractor needs for a compliant survey

A purpose-built workspace that replaces scattered spreadsheets, word docs, and disconnected label printing software.

CRM

Client & Site Intake

Capture site addresses, primary contacts, and initial call notes. Track every opportunity on a drag-and-drop Kanban pipeline.

QST

Survey Questionnaire

Pre-survey checklist for PPE requirements, site access, and escort logistics. Draft intro emails automatically from the answers.

FLD

Panels & Equipment

Log switchboards, MCCs, and disconnects. Attach standard and thermal/infrared photos directly to the equipment record in the field.

CAL

Calculations Hub

Organize incident energy, arc flash boundary, and PPE category data. Built to seamlessly accept outputs from SKM or ETAP engineering software.

$

Mobilization Pricing

Calculate exact mobilization costs including vehicle rates, crew size, hours per trip, IRS mileage, per diem, and install minimums.

PRO

Proposal Generator

Pull field data, rate sheets, and mobilization rules into a clean PDF proposal. Includes assumptions, exclusions, and an internal executive summary.

QR

Dual-QR Labels

Print compliant labels with two QR codes: an offline data card readable with no signal, and a live link that opens the panel's full PDF via Google Drive.

LOG

Correspondence Calendar

Log every email, call, and site visit. Schedule follow-ups directly on the module's unified calendar to ensure no client slips through the cracks.

How it works

A structured workflow for hazard mitigation

1

Pipeline & Intake

Create a new project from the dashboard. Answer the site questionnaire to capture safety logistics, generating a pre-drafted field survey email for the client.

2

Field Data Collection

Walk the site with a tablet. Add panels, log voltages and bus ratings, and drop photos directly onto the equipment record. Generate a summary email for the client instantly.

3

Proposals & Pricing

Apply company-wide rate sheets to the collected data. The system calculates mobilization and installation minimums, spitting out a ready-to-send PDF proposal.

4

Engineering Review

Print the raw data for leadership review. Run calculations through your licensed engineering software (e.g., SKM, ETAP) and input the resulting incident energy and boundaries back into the platform.

5

Label Printing & Closeout

Print the final NFPA 70E labels. Check off each panel as it is physically installed on site, and generate a final completion email summarizing the project.

Why not use scattered tools?

Stop re-typing survey data

A standalone label printer won't write your proposal, and an Excel spreadsheet can't generate a live QR code. Project Center 2.0 connects them all.

Suite Integration

Part of the Project Center 2.0 Ecosystem

While the Arc Flash Survey tool can run entirely standalone for specialized electrical contractors, it is built on the exact same architecture as our broader platform.

Connects to Maintenance & Asset Manager

If your team also maintains the facility, the Arc Flash survey is just the beginning. The panels and switchgear you catalog during the survey can feed directly into the Maintenance Manager module. This allows you to track recurring preventive maintenance (PM) schedules, repair histories, and operator safety logs for the very same assets you just labeled.
